What is a TV Satellite Dish?
The road a broadcasted signal takes to get from the broadcasting building to your house is a long and windy one. There are many steps involved and many appliances involved getting it from point A to point B. there are many components involved in this process and I am here to tell you them and what they do! When a show is filmed the broadcasting service gets that video and uploads it to the TV satellite dish. Now as a subscriber to a satellite service provider, you get access to those uploaded videos. Depending on what type of cable you have, digital or analog. There are certain ways to obtain it. Analog The video quality is worse than digital and is transferred via antenna and receivers. In some areas of the world this service is unavailable and that is how digital comes in to the big picture. It is also interesting to note, that the resolution that you see on your TV from an analog signal is worse then that on your average computer screen. Considering TVs have been around for a much longer time then computers, it’s quite incredible that the signal quality is still as low as it is. Digital This is the best quality of video and is ten times the quality of the best analog TV. For this you need either a computer screen styled monitor or a HDTV. This signal is better than analog because the amount of pixels the compatible screen holds is greater than that of an analog television. What is a TV satellite dish? A TV satellite dish is a component that is placed atop or on the side of your house in a specific location in order for it to receive the signal from the main satellite in the sky. A receiver gets the signal from a TV satellite dish and delivers it to your TV set. How does the information get to the main satellite: when a television program is recorded it is delivered to the networks broadcasting station. It is then sent to either the satellite or the cable system which brings it straight to your house.
